IPL- Indian Politics League

Until a couple of years ago, I was an admirer of Tharoor.Even after reading all his nonsensical tweets, I was optimistic that Tharoor is the only person who could bring some development in Kerala by keeping the commie thugs at a bay.The less said about his tweets, the better.Media misquoted him on many occasions- First the cattle class tweets; then his opinion on Nehru's foreign policy was also misinterpreted by the media..and few other similar cases. In all those cases, he deserved the benefit of doubt. His naivety can be excused.Ever since he joined the Indian Politics, he has always been the centre of attraction.Without any exaggeration, I would say, Tharoor became a brand. Youth considered him as India's Obama-- The man who is gonna bring a total change in the political system and many more..Sadly, the hopes are no more..he disappointed us.

His tweets were nonsensical to the core.Often enough his tweets were about his New York based wife, where he roamed with his New York based wife, about her wonders, his passions for cricket, his sons passion towards cricket even though they grew up in a non cricket atmosphere. He kept on publicizing the matters that were supposed to be within private network A kinda show off! Hmm, maybe US style! Coming back to IPL controversy,we cannot defend him.He erred in his judgement.Unnecessarily he got into mentoring, and was caught red handed.
His wonderful initiatives in Kerala/TVM are going to be unnoticed in the midst of the nasty scam.Compared to other crooks, Tharoor is lesser evil. Many vultures roam in and around politics and government I have one question to our dear PM..Sacking a lesser evil and keeping vultures like Pawar,D.Raja..Is that fair?

The problem with him was we loved him, loathed him, we loved him ‘following’ more.. and more than that.. we love judging him…upon his personal life or silly antics..! that infact made him a greek tragic hero in the end!

ha ha.. Come on, nobody 'followed' him. He publicly displayed like a bolly hero! Whose fault? Followers?

There are certain standards, yard sticks. He is an ex UN official. It's obvious that we expect a high standard of conduct from him. If we are interested in silly antics, we would be following a Sharukh khan or Amir Khan.People receive respect based on their conduct both professional and personal. His juvenile tweets, amateurish Secretary..these are not the things we expect from an ex UN official.

Few Malayalam sayings:
1) Irunittu venam kaalu neettaan.Ninnondu kaalu neettiyal? what will happen? we will fall down. That's what happened with Tharoor.
2) Kanakam Moolam Kamini moolam ulakil palavidham kalaham sulabham
3)Samsargaja dosha guna bhavanthi.

Hope he will come out of this allegation soon.

we criticize him because we have high hopes about Tharoor. We never bother to criticize a Lalu/Mulayam/Pawar..because swe know they all are crooks.

the 'follwing' was not in the actual sense of the term.. the following was a reference to the Twiter followers! He thought he had fan following of 70,000 people which is almost the number of vote margin with which he won ananthapuri...!

and then.. talking of yardsticks and standars of being a UN official.. if u remember... there was a similar impropriety allegation against Kofi Annan, to whom Shashi Tharoor was an under secretary. at that time.. Shashi almost did everything to defend his boss.. well. he had to .. being his deputy.. but.. have we ever really bothered about what his conduct at UN was..? atleast i was always impressed with his language, and writing, and his pluralism speech..! the rest, as to whom he goes out with or whom he courts is immeterial!

ha ha..

ezhuthappuram vayikkaruthe..I never mentioned anything about Pushkar his courtship in THIS blog post.

..and what mattered was he did!

yeah..some people gets impressed on Hifi style of languages and writing..

going by the yard sticks you apply,he is fit to become only Minister for art and culture.
ya..indeed he is a master in pluralisms!

His(Tharoor) fans and Tharoor projected himself as an MP with a difference. So,it's obvious that we expect a lot.He becomes quite chatty while talking about Kerala.Prioritising IPL was his biggest mistake. Instead of grabbing Kochi IPL team, he should have focussed on some other issues. for eg..Smart city..I know the project is getting delayed due to LDF.He could have devoted his time in initiating creative ventures in Kerala. And that is the need of the hour. Why unnecessarily befriending Modi despite knowing that he was a drug peddlar?People of Kerala voted for him with high hopes that he would bring some positive changes with respect to the overall development.People didn't vote for him to become a mouthpiece of Kochi IPL.

You said about his speech and pluralisms. But then, why he is not supporting the initiatives of academicians to set up a Malayalam University in Kerala? Tamilnadu and other states have their own universities.Kerala is the one among the very few states who don't have such an university. The situation of Malayalam is pathetic in the state. Why is he not trying to save the language from becoming extinct?Simply by quoting couplets of Vallathol doesn't make a Malayali or Keralite. We don't want TVM to become another London or Newyork. What we need is to maintain the originality and embrace the new ideas.Incessant talks on India and Pluralism won't qualify him to become an Indian. For that he should know the pulse of Indians. Not of those Indians who lives in air conditioned rooms, roaming in multiplexes, resting in arm chairs. He should know the pulse of rural Indians. It's impossible for him to comprehend the real pulse by leading a Roman empire life style. For understanding the rural Indians, he must be ready to be a socrates.People should feel his presence. Then only he can win the hearts of Malayalis/Indians.Else he is gonna be an outsider forever. The same yard stik applies to other politicians also. But then, they never projected themselves as 'different"

Despite all these, I still believe that he will come back.
